Partnella is an all-on-one affiliate platform where the goal was to create an easy to use platform for referral and affiliates.
As a business owner you can create your own affiliate program using our platform to reach out to affiliates and keep track of your sales.
As an affiliate you can come in contact with businesses that suit your content profile .

Process
Research study details
Before diving into the design and development process, we conducted market research to understand the needs of our target audience and identify any gaps in the current referral and affiliate market. We analyzed competitors, explored user pain points, and gathered valuable insights from industry experts. This research provided us with the foundation to build an all-in-one platform tailored to the unique demands of our users.
Workshop #1 - Minimum Viable Brand workshop
After finishing our market research, we moved on to build our brand with a Minimum Viable Brand (MVB) workshop. In this two hour session, we worked together through a simple process to define our brand strategy and create a brand identity with key visual elements. The workshop helped align our team's vision, sparked important discussions about our brand, and brought clarity to ideas that had been unspoken.
Workshop #2 - Future workshop
In our session, we ran a future workshop to identify and prioritize the key features our users really needed. [sneak peak] However, things went off track when we got too ambitious and tried to include campaign features, automated emails, sorting options, group programs, in-app messaging, and more. This led to a complex plan that strayed from our original goal of simplicity and user-focused design. We didn’t realize the problem until we tested the prototype, and users were overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do.
Wireframing
Our design team began by creating sketches and wireframes to visualize the layout and overall structure of the platform. This early stage allowed us to refine our ideas and establish a clear design direction. After multiple iterations, we developed high-fidelity wireframes that illustrated our pilot users key features and functionalities, including a dashboard, payments, referral tracking, and analytics.



Initial design concepts
Initially, we had big dreams about filling all the gaps in the market with Partnella, envisioning a platform packed with advanced functionalities. However, after engaging with our pilot users, we realized that our ambitious feature set was overwhelming and complex. The extensive functionalities we deemed necessary created a steep learning curve and cluttered the user experience. This feedback prompted us to reevaluate and streamline our offerings, focusing on delivering a more straightforward and intuitive platform that still met our core objectives effectively.



Reworking the design
In response to the feedback from our pilot users, we decided to streamline Partnella by focusing on the core functionalities that mattered most. We carefully assessed each feature, prioritizing those that provided the highest value and addressed the primary needs of our users. By eliminating non-essential elements, we were able to simplify the platform, making it more user-friendly and efficient. This focused approach allowed us to enhance the overall user experience while still delivering robust referral and affiliate management capabilities. The point of this wasn't to have the end design ready, but to check if our users would be able to understand the process, which they did!
